Peachtree Streetcar Funding Options Survey: Let CAP know your preferences!
Central Atlanta Progress is interested in learning more about your support of potential implementation strategies for a Downtown streetcar. Please take the
survey to help them gauge interest in potential funding alternatives.
The
Peachtree Corridor Task Force Final Report presents a number of suggested options for funding Peachtree Corridor investments, which include a streetcar. Streetcar construction within Downtown and Midtown has been proposed as a first step in building the system. The Downtown streetcar alignment would include a route along Peachtree Street, as well as an 'east-west loop' route that connects the Centennial Olympic Park area to the King Historic District via Auburn Avenue, Edgewood Avenue, Peachtree Street, Marietta Street, Luckie Street and Baker Street. (Please reference the map included within the survey link.) If a preferred funding strategy can be identified in a timely manner, a modern streetcar system could be operational within Downtown within 3 1/2 years!

Our Neighbors in the Old Fourth Ward are having a Cleanup Day, Dec. 1!
To
many ADNA members, the Old Fourth Ward may seem far away. But, with all the development along
Piedmont and Auburn, it's becoming increasingly clear that we're not so
separated anymore! A cleanup day kicks off at 8:30 am with coffee
and donuts on the sidewalks of Boulevard just south of North Ave. KISS
104.1 will be broadcasting live throughout the event. 9 am: Community
parade to the 5 neighborhood substations/welcome centers, led by
Councilmember Kwanza Hall and the Grady High School band. Community
cleanups by the 5 neighborhood associations in the Old Fourth Ward
until 1 pm, ending with lunch. If you cannot meet at Boulvard and
North Ave for the parade, just go to the Auburn cleanup
substation/welcome center around 9 am. The substation will be at the
corner of Auburn and Jackson. Questions? Email Jay Tribby at
