MARTA Officers Subdue Assailant in Woodruff
Last week, downtown Atlanta saw action by MARTA officers who subdued a knife wielding man as he ran into Woodruff Park from Five Points Station. Injured Officer Ricky Chambers, Sergeant Arthur Williams, and Officers Darrell Epps, Garland Smith, Keisha Barnes and Richelle Browning should be commended for their selfless act in the line of duty. We often fault MARTA for not stepping outside their boundaries to enforce the law but this is an opportunity to thank them for going the extra measure. If you would like to recognize them, please address letters to Chief of Police Wanda Dunham, MARTA Police Department, 2424 Piedmont Road, NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30324.
