Our Neighbors in the Old Fourth Ward are having a Cleanup Day, Dec. 1!
To
many ADNA members, the Old Fourth Ward may seem far away. But, in fact,
until this underserved neighborhood in the heart of District 2 gets the
attention it has needed for decades, many of the challenges facing
Downtown neighbors will continue. With all the development along
Piedmont and Auburn, it's becoming increasingly clear that we're not so
separated anymore! The cleanup day kicks off at 8:30 am with coffee
and donuts on the sidewalks of Boulevard just south of North Ave. KISS
104.1 will be broadcasting live throughout the event. 9 am: Community
parade to the 5 neighborhood substations/welcome centers, led by
Councilmember Kwanza Hall and the Grady High School band. Community
cleanups by the 5 neighborhood associations in the Old Fourth Ward
until 1 pm, ending with lunch. If you cannot meet at Boulvard and
North Ave for the parade, just go to the Auburn cleanup
substation/welcome center around 9 am. The substation will be at the
corner of Auburn and Jackson. Questions? Email Jay Tribby at
