ADNA Community Meeting: Tuesday, November 13 Board ElectionsADNA Voting members are asked to attend this important meeting at the Library on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 6:30pm to elect new Board Members for the 2008 ADNA Board. Nominees will be listed at the ADNA website along with a list of eligible voting members and requirements for Board Membership. Your participation is very important - if this will be your third meeting you may still plan to vote. Refreshments provided by Intown Property. Also on the agenda, an update on progress with the city on Broad Street Plaza improvements as well as ways we can work with police on reporting criminal activity and quality of life infractions. Stuart Jackson will have 20 boxes of lights for purchase at $10 each (cash or check payable to ADNA) to get you started on your very own Blizzard of Lights. Let's light up downtown in time for the holidays! Save the Date!
ADNA Holiday Party will be held at The Rialto on Thursday, December 13 from 7-9pm. ADNA voting members get in free with a guest; all others pay $5 each.

Atlanta First United Methodist Church at Peachtree and Ralph McGill is a historic downtown church with a rich Pre-Civil War history that continued to be prominent throughout the mid-twentieth century. But as the city changed so did their clientele. Recent renovations preserve the church's rich history, outreach to the growing downtown community and connect with people right where they are in life. On Sunday November 18th at 11:00am celebrate the dedication of their refurbished sanctuary with its 100-year old pews, soaring rotunda, 2 floors of stunning stained glass windows and magnificent pipe organ.
Georgia State University Library's Grand Opening Ceremony November 15
Georgia State University President Carl V. Patton and Dean of Libraries Charlene Hurt invite you to celebrate the completion of the Library Transformation Project, a $23 million comprehensive renovation of two library buildings at the very heart of campus. This massive undertaking has launched Georgia State further toward national status as a leading research university.
Come enjoy refreshments and view the beautifully renovated facilities as President Patton addresses the crowd on Thursday, Nov. 15 at 11am, Library South, 2nd floor, 100 Decatur Street.
You do not have to be affiliated with Georgia State to visit the Library - some of its most dedicated patrons are legislators, state department employees, and visiting scholars. Over 1.3 million people come through the doors each year, and now there is even more reason to visit. We hope you join us to see what this state-of-the-art facility now offers.
