ADNA Community Meeting: Tuesday, November 13 Board ElectionsADNA Voting members are asked to attend this important meeting at the Library on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 6:30pm to elect new Board Members for the 2008 ADNA Board. Nominees will be listed at the ADNA website by next Wednesday Nov. 7, along with a list of eligible voting members and requirements for Board Membership. Thanks to those who attended the first ADNA Happy Hour Tailgate party at Six Feet Under - who knew cemeteries were so hip? If you missed the Oakland Park tour, it is open 365 days from dawn until dusk for self-guided tours. Guided tours through Nov. 25. |

Feeling reckless? Oyster Festival at Woodruff Park, THIS SATURDAY, Nov. 3, 2007
Rob Frazier of Premier Events Management is working with Dave FM to produce the Guinness Oyster Festival in Woodruff Park with music, great selections of oysters (note that this is held in a month with an "R") and other foods as well as great beer and a carnival midway on Saturday November 3rd from 1 pm to 11 pm. Guinness Oyster Festival was last held in Woodruff Park in 2001 as part of the Art Scape Festival. Auburn Ave., Park Place, and Edgewood will be closed where they surround Woodruff Park. The event will be gated with an admission charge of $12 ($10 in advance). Must be 21, so bring I.D. Live music by 90's Alt Bands The Lemonheads and Soul Asylum and others!
Deck the Halls at Centennial Olympic Park
Volunteers
are still needed to help string lights on the shrubbery throughout Centennial Olympic Park to create
the enormous display known as Holiday in Lights. Individual volunteers are welcome or you can
share the experience by volunteering as a group - make it a celebratory outing
by volunteering with family, friends, co-workers, church groups, or civic
organizations. They have one more volunteer work
day scheduled for Saturday, November

Kick off and Press Event for Comprehensive Transportation Plan, Nov. 6
The City of Atlanta welcomes everyone to attend the Kick-off and Press event for the 1st CTP (Comprehensive Transportation Plan) on Tuesday, November 6 at 11 am. (Atlanta City Hall Atrium, 55 Trinity Ave. SW). This is a plan that will involve the public and consider all modes of public transit in Atlanta. The city welcomes people with diverse backgrounds and various levels of transportation knowledge to become members of the CTP Stakeholders Committee. Welcome remarks by Mayor Shirley Franklin followed by Q&A with the CTP project team.
