Deck the Halls at Centennial Olympic Park
Volunteers
are needed to help string lights on the shrubbery throughout Centennial Olympic Park to create
the enormous display known as Holiday in Lights. Individual volunteers are welcome or you can
share the experience by volunteering as a group - make it a celebratory outing
by volunteering with family, friends, co-workers, church groups, or civic
organizations. They have two volunteer work
days scheduled for this Saturday, October 27th and next Saturday, November
3rd from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.each day. Please let them
know if you are able to join them on either day or both days. Contact Jennifer Tinker at 404-223-4093.
LIVE, WORK, PLAY ... and PUSH!
Atlantic Station is pleased to announce a new weekly program for in-town moms, dads, and caregivers. Every Wednesday (starting November 7th), moms and their children in strollers are invited to meet at Central Park in Atlantic Station for an approximately one-mile stroll. Coffee and socializing begin at 9:30 am and the stroll begins at 10:00 am. Regular promotions and giveaways hosted by Atlantic Station retailers are planned. Most retailers open at 10 am on weekdays so shopping and dining are a great option after (or during!) the stroll. Join us for a morning out and a fun opportunity to meet other in-town moms and their kids!
Reserved, mom-friendly parking also will be available. And remember, the first two hours of parking at Atlantic Station are always free! Note: Atlantic Station is an open-air venue so weekly strolls will be weather permitting. For more information, contact Nancy Tao at nktao@yahoo.com
