Downtown Festival and Tour Steering Committee Meeting, Nov. 6, 7:30pm
The Festival Steering Committee is still looking for interested people to help with securing Sponsorships, organize the Kickoff Party and Volunteers, and lead as Festival Co-chair. If you would like to be part of the greater good, meet at the Healey Building conference room (75 Forsyth St. NW, 30303) to find out how you can help make this annual event another success!
Broad Street Plaza Update
Central Atlanta Progress is working with their Woodruff Park architect to design improvements to Broad Street Plaza. Estimates are expected within the week and we will update you on the schedule for seating re-design. Improvements already noted include limbing up trees for better visibility, visible police presence (two shifts), and continuous cleaning by ADID and the City. ADID is installing a security camera today that will join the 12 other downtown cameras in a network monitored by Atlanta Police. Thanks again to all the neighbors who keep this project on the front burner. Read the results of a working group of concerned citizens and neighbors of Broad Street Plaza who met last week to develop their list of primary problems, some of which are being addressed by these improvements.

Groucho, "Baffle-O Bill" Smith will be among the entertainers wandering around Downtown Atlanta this weekend. Join in the fun as StreetStage Atlanta Festival kicks off Saturday and Sunday in Woodruff Park from 11-7pm. Cost is $1!
Street performers from Key West, Toronto, London and Atlanta will put a smile onyour face and aid in supporting Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Grab your family and friends and come play in the street!!!
The Sixth Annual Castleberry Hill Loft Tour: Saturday, October 20 (11 - 5) and Sunday, October 21 (noon to 5)
Visit our neighbors South of our Border! Castleberry Hill Loft Tour: two days of an intimate look at urban living in a historic neighborhood. Attendees will be able to visit the eight lofts selected for this juried tour as well as partake in the local cuisine at some newly opened restaurants, peruse the neighborhood's acclaimed fine art galleries and enjoy several additional local shops and businesses. The Loft Tour features homes of various styles and sizes decorated and designed with diverse tastes and budgets. Tickets for the Castleberry Hill Loft Tour are good for both days: $12 in advance or $15 at the event.
Castleberry Hill is a registered historic district and Atlanta's eighth officially designated Landmark District. The neighborhood is located on the southwestern edge of Downtown just south of the Georgia Dome and CNN Center. For more information call 404-307-8127.
