ADNA News
Downtown Atlanta
4/4/08
Dear ADNA List Subscriber,

ADNA membership found themselves in the middle of Marietta Street at 6am last Sunday to cheer on ING Georgia marathoners who ran on both sides around us under dark, cold and dreary skies.  Although we were all decked out in orange and draped (even Barbara Asher's statue, fashionably) in orange curtains, we did not finish in the money.  AND although we had a Great Dane and a miniature Greyhound, it seems we should have had small children and marching band instruments!  We've received many suggestions on improving our section for next year, including choreographed cheerleader routines, and live music.  We'd also love to see more people!

Thanks to all who participated and donated to next year's effort!

ADNA News & Events

Next ADNA Community Meeting Tues. April 8 at the Central Atlanta Library, 6:30pm. We came very close to being minus 3 downtown billboards due to tornado damage but unfortunately we've learned that the owners have the right to reconstruct!  Jennifer Ball from Central Atlanta Progress will explain this and provide more information on Atlanta's billboard and signage approval process. Also ADNA Board Member Matt Jordan will lead a discussion with Zone 5 Commander Major Hagin about illegal drug activity on Broad Street in light of two recent CBS news reports, and ADNA Board Member Richard Hooker will explain the city's planned Water Surcharge as it affects downtown residents.
Refreshments by Fresh to Go on Peachtree donated by Intown Properties.
