Dear ADNA List Subscriber,
We have an easy and accessible volunteer opportunity for you this Saturday, March 22! From 8:30am to 1pm your ADNA board and our downtown neighbors will be helping our Auburn Avenue neighbors do some debris cleanup in an effort to remedy what we can. Meet at the corner of Piedmont and Auburn Avenue (it's best if you can walk there) between 8:30am and 8:45am for coffee and breakfast snacks (donated by Corner Bakery - thank you!) and we will disburse from there. Wear sturdy shoes or boots and bring work gloves. Bags and containers will be provided.
Due to falling glass generated by fragment removal from the Westin, Georgia Pacific Building and Centennial Tower, the following streets will continue to be closed to traffic and pedestrians through the weekend: Peachtree St between Auburn and Harris, Spring Street between Marietta and Harris, International between Peachtree Ctr and Williams and COP and Marietta St, Carnegie between Spring and Cone, and Marietta between COP and Park Ave West.
For those inconvenienced by these street closings please be as patient as possible. We are working with APD and our District 2 Council Member to have them lighten up on residents during this stressful time.
