Dear ADNA List Subscriber,
The Fairlie Poplar district is still struggling with clean-up and street closures. Many downtown streets are still closed and if you live downtown and have tried to go anywhere and then come home you know what I mean. It's best to stay home, shop locally or use MARTA trains.
Major closures are Peachtree from Marietta to Harris, Park Place from Edgewood to Auburn, Marietta Street (westbound) from Peachtree to Fairlie and Centennial Olympic Park Dr to Andrew Young Intl (both directions), Spring St from MLK to Walton and the entire Fairlie Poplar district west of Forsyth St.
If you are having trouble accessing your garages and live within this area please be patient. We are working with APD to gain access for residents as soon as possible.
Our offers to help with cleanup are not being ignored and are much appreciated, however this is still a job for professionals and we will know more in about one week. I will also extend an offer to help at Oakland Cemetary.
