Dear ADNA List Subscriber,
Following last night's devasating damage, Atlanta Police and Atlanta Fire and Rescue are leading assessment and preliminary cleanup efforts. They are also focusing on securing street-level damaged buildings to head off looting.
I have extended an offer to the City (through Kwanza Hall's office) and Centennial Olympic Park (through their Volunteer Coordinator) to mobilize the ADNA Community to assist in any organized cleanup efforts. I will put out another email as soon as they let us know where we can help.
In the meantime, if you don't have to be on the sidewalks or streets downtown, APD and AFR have asked that we stay home.
Hope you are all well. I know that our beloved Downtown will recover from this a stronger and cleaner one!
