Downtown Festival and Tour News: We need Tour Participants!

It's time to show off your home!  Be a part of the 2008 Downtown Festival and Tour.  Applicants should send a brief description and 3-4 pictures by email to deboday@yahoo.com, or mail to Deb Day at 250 Park Avenue West NW, Unit 806, Atlanta, GA  30313.  Every person who submits an application will be contacted; we're looking for 10 lofts to show off in May.  The application deadline is March 31, 2008.

Participants should have someone available in their home on May 17-18 between the hours of 11-6 on Saturday and 12-5 on Sunday.  Please also have someone in your building direct the visitors to your place.  Providing a bit of history about your building appeals to the people looking at it, and it is the loft owner's responsibility to provide the volunteers for your building.

All participants and volunteers will receive a Festival T-shirt, two tickets to the tour and two tickets to the Kick-Off Party held on Thursday, May 15.   Please email your list of volunteers too so that we can ensure they get their perks!

This year we'd like to showcase some of our Festival artists' works in selected homes.  Please let me know if that interests you, and also if you'd like a chef tasting from one of our fine participating sponsor restaurants!

Email Deb Day with any questions.  We look forward to another great year at the Downtown Festival and Tour!

Connect Atlanta Planning Meetings
The Connect Atlanta Plan will guide the next 25 years of transportation policy and investment in ways that contribute to Atlanta's larger vision of creating a more modern, vibrant, and sustainable city.

You are invited to join us at a series of open, multi-day workshops for the Connect Atlanta Plan.  These interactive sessions are designed for you to drop by at your convenience and work with us on specific transportation challenges in your area.  The workshops will be open throughout the day and into the early evening.  While the public can come anytime during the day, each multi-day  workshop will have an introductory and final meeting in order to introduce you to the plan and workshop and then to present the work accomplished during the week.

For questions or to stay up to date with the Connect Atlanta Plan, please visit the plan's website at www.connectatlantaplan.com or contact our helpline at 404.330.6800.
