Other Downtown News
Unless you've been under a rock, you probably know that Techwood Drive is closed until summer of 2009;  Techwood Drive is the roadway that runs southbound, parallel to I-75/85 on the west side and carries ramp traffic that exits from both I-75 and I-85 at the 10th/14th Street exits. The closure is a necessary part of the ongoing replacement of the 14th Street Bridge, which is being widened to better accommodate vehicles, pedestrians and bicyclists.

Exit 84 - I-85 Southbound ramp to 17th/14th/10th Streets:  All I-85 traffic using Exit 84 will be required to take the 17th Street ramp. At the end of the ramp, turn left and cross the 17th Street bridge to access Midtown, or turn right to reach Atlantic Station, Northside Drive and locations farther west.

Exit 250 - I-75 Southbound ramp to 14th/10th Streets will be blocked at 16th Street :  As an alternate route into Midtown, exit I-75 at Northside Drive (Exit 252), turn right, and then left onto either 17th Street or 10th Street.

Connect Atlanta Planning Meetings
The Connect Atlanta Plan will guide the next 25 years of transportation policy and investment in ways that contribute to Atlanta's larger vision of creating a more modern, vibrant, and sustainable city.

You are invited to join us at a series of open, multi-day workshops for the Connect Atlanta Plan.  These interactive sessions are designed for you to drop by at your convenience and work with us on specific transportation challenges in your area.  The workshops will be open throughout the day and into the early evening.  While the public can come anytime during the day, each multi-day  workshop will have an introductory and final meeting in order to introduce you to the plan and workshop and then to present the work accomplished during the week.

For questions or to stay up to date with the Connect Atlanta Plan, please visit the plan's website at www.connectatlantaplan.com or contact our helpline at 404.330.6800.
