First ADNA Meeting of 2008 -January 8, 6:30pm, Downtown Library (Carnegie & Forsyth)
Don't miss our first meeting of 2008 - January 8, 6:30pm at the Downtown Library - which is also the first public commentary opportunity on Streetcar Atlanta and the Peachtree Corridor improvements as noted in the AJC article. A presentation in the auditorium followed by focus group study will provide a valuable opportunity for residential input in funding and design decisions. Urban Collage, consultant on this exciting project, The Peachree Corridor Partnership, will also provide refreshments. Please pass this along to everyone you know who lives in the affected area! Property owners, this will not come without cost but has tremendous potential to positively impact our neighborhood.
The ADNA business meeting will begin at 6:45pm with license applications and will also have a short promo by the new WNBA and Five Points Neighborhood Watch organizing committee.

Remember to Thank Your Atlanta Police Department!
If you live near Underground and had a pleasant, incident-free New Year's Eve, thank the APD for proactively working with ADNA to recognize that there are people who live nearby that need to go home and entertain! Kudos to Special Operations Section Commander, Major Calvin Moss (cmoss@atlantaga.gov) who, through diligent consulting, planning, and communicating to his staff, made this the most pleasant New Year's Eve in recent memory! We will continue to work with APD and the city toward making living and driving downtown as painless during other special events!
Five Points Neighborhood Watch Organizational Meeting Sat. Jan. 12
APD, MARTA Police, 911 representatives and Atlanta Public Works representatives are scheduled to attend this meeting at the Downtown Library (Carnegie and Forsyth) from 10 am to 12 noon. Led by Detective Swoopes, this is a great opportunity to learn how involved and observant citizens can make their neighborhoods safer. All are welcome to attend to learn how these public safety entities work together. Please make sure each of your buildings is represented! This is a grassroots opportunity to make downtown a safer place for residents.
Corner Bakery will provide refreshments! For more information contact John Mount at 404-516-3181.
