The
Atlanta Downtown Neighborhood Association is proud to announce
its second annual Atlanta Downtown
Neighborhood Festival, Saturday, May 17 and Sunday,
May 18 along Broad and Walton Streets in the historic Fairlie
Poplar district. The Festival runs in conjunction with Downtown
Tour of Lofts and Lifestyles, which is produced by Central
Atlanta Progress.
Last year's inaugural event recently won
an award as the "Best New Festival in the State of Georgia"
from Georgia Festivals and Events Association. The festival
is produced and managed by Downtown residents who volunteer
their time.
The 2003 Festival will feature live entertainment, an artist's
market, children's activities, a beer garden and other activities
designed to showcase the vibrancy of downtown living. Some
of the Southeast's finest visual artists will display their
work at the Artists' Market, along Walton and Broad Street.
A children's area will let young artists create their own
masterpieces and enjoy a series of hands-on activities. The
event is free to the public and patrons of the Tour
of Lofts & Lifestyles can be dropped off at the Festival
by Loft Tour buses.
Applications to participate in the artists' market
or to be featured entertainer on the Broad Street stage or
other Festival venues are available at the ADNA website www.atlantadna.org.
