The Atlanta Downtown Neighborhood Association invites you to its
monthly Community Meeting, Tuesday, June 14.
Meeting hosts are our Ellis Street neighbors at the U.S. headquarters
of CARE, Inc. CARE, one of the
world's largest humanitarian organizations, works with poor communities
in more than 70 countries to find lasting solutions to poverty.
CARE has invited a stellar group of staff members to visit with us
for the evening. They include: Derreck Kayongo, Advocacy Field Coordinator
for the CARE Action Network, which mobilizes advocacy volunteers in
Atlanta; ADNA member and Downtown resident Ginny Ubik, whose most
recent assignment at CARE was as Regional Director for Latin America
and the Caribbean; and Dave Newberry, who has worked extensively in
the Polio Eradication Campaign.
Informal socializing and light refreshments 6:30-7:00 p.m.; CARE
panel 7:00 p.m.; business meeting 7:40 p.m.; tour 8:00 p.m.
