Introduction
Be a part of the 2008 Downtown Festival and Tour of Lofts by volunteering your time and enthusiasm! The event starts with a Friday night of music, 8-11 p.m. The Festival and Tour is May 17-18 from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Saturday and 12-6 p.m. on Sunday. Volunteering is a great way to get to know your neighbors and be part of this lively event!
Volunteers play a vital role in the success of the Festival and are needed to staff ticketing tables, the hospitality suite, help with the entertainment stage, the artist market, the Loft Tour and serve as guides on the tour shuttle buses.
Shifts are flexible and you can specify areas you’d prefer.
Each volunteer will receive a Festival T-shirt, a free ticket to the Loft Tour and two complimentary tickets to the Festival Kick-off Party on May 15 at the AmericasMart. Get involved and volunteer today!

- What To Wear
Attire for the Festival & Tour on Saturday and Sunday is casual and comfortable (jeans, jogging suit, shorts, etc.). We recommend not wearing your designer best in case you have to do something that could get messy. You will receive a festival t-shirt either when you check-in to volunteer or when you attend the orientation. Please wear this t-shirt so we know you are part of the “crew”. In addition, you will be given a volunteer credential like a special nametag. We suggest dressing in layers, and in case of rain—you never know about Atlanta weather! DO NOT wear open toed shoes if at all possible. If it is chilly, we recommend you wear a long sleeved shirt under your festival t-shirt.
