The Atlanta Downtown Festival will take place in the historic Fairlie-Poplar district, while the Tour takes place over a wider area of Downtown Atlanta.

Key Facts:

  • MARTA is recommended. See directions below.
  • Registration for the Tour is at the Tour Registration Tent on Broad Street in front of Saxby's. Day of Festival tickets are $20. Tickets can also be purchased in advance for $15 at www.tix.com.
  • Valet Parking is available for $5/day at the Commerce Club Garage on Broad Street between Marietta and Walton with your loft tour wristband (pay upon exit). There are numerous other parking decks and surface lots throughout the Downtown. Please be sure to pay only uniformed parking attendants (or the money box / machine), to avoid being scammed!

Driving

From I-75-85 from the Morth.
Take I-75/85 into town, exit Courtland Street. Follow Courtland Street to Auburn Avenue and turn right. Follow Auburn Avenue to Peachtree Street and turn left. Go three blocks south on Peachtree and turn right onto Marietta Street. Go two blocks and turn right onto Forsyth Street. The festival will be on your right, starting at Walton Street. See parking info above or look for parking at decks, lots of on-street.

From I-75/85 from the South.
Take I-75/85 into town and, exit onto Edgewood Avenue. Turn left onto Edgewood Avenue. Follow Edgewood to Peachtree Street and cross Peachtree Street to Marietta Street. Go two blocks down Marietta Street and turn right onto Forsyth Street. The festival will be on your right, starting at Walton Street. From I-20 East/West
From I-20 East or West, take the I-75/85 exit North and, exit onto Edgewood Avenue. Turn left onto Edgewood Avenue. Follow Edgewood to Peachtree Street and cross Peachtree Street to Marietta Street. Go two blocks down Marietta Street and turn right onto Forsyth Street. The festival will be on your right, starting at Walton Street. Mass Transit - MARTA

The Festival is conveniently located within easy walking distance of two MARTA rail stations and is also served by several MARTA bus routes!

Nearby MARTA Rail Stations (with links to MARTA's station information pages:

  • Five Points
    • Exit out the Forsyth St. side of the station and walk two blocks north (up Forsyth St., across Marietta St. to Walton St.) and you will be at the festival!
    • You can also exit onto the MARTA plaza (north side) and walk through to Marietta St., across to Broad St., and then you wil be smack in the middle of the festival, at the main stage!
    • You can also exit the Peachtree St. exit and walk north a couple of blocks to Walton St. -- until you hear the music!
  • Peachtree Center
    • Exit out southwest entrance (see sign for Central Library / Carnegie Way) and you will find yourself at intersection of Forsyth St., Carnegie Way, and Forsyth St. Walk down Forsyth, past the library, Equitable Building, and the Rialto, and you will find yourself at the festival.

Bus lines serving the area that weekend: 1 Coronet Way (Marietta St.), 3 Auburn Ave. / MLK Dr. (great for access from Candler Park, Inman Park, Old Fourth Ward, Auburn Ave), 9 Toney Valley (East Atlanta), 10 Peachtree (Peachtree, Saturday only), and 13 Fair St. / North Ave. (Georgia Tech, AUC).

Biking Directions

Take the Stone Mountain Trail PATH greenway! You can bike it west, on the greenway, until you're almost Downtown, then take it along Edgewood and/or Auburn! For bike parking, there are racks located around Downtown, especially by GSU buildings.
